- Close up of person in the English front cover has it's eyes open, as if to take responsibility for its decision and is aware of what they have done. in the american the close up of statue of liberty has her eyes covered suggesting that they are still in shock and embarrassed of their decision, they don't want to see what they have done.
-gray in flag - shows ambiguity within the country - unknown what is going to happen. on the American one the they are destined to fail and live in destruction.

-in english front cover you can't tell the person's gender meaning decision has affected both men and women. In American front cover "what it means for you and the world" showing that the decision has affected everyone.
- cracks in flag show the divided population. burned background shows how the population is also divided as they are fighting and having destruction.
